Cosima Wagner Diaries

A very good night in our own home! The children early in the garden; I write several letters and set the affairs in order. Our friend Feustel comes by to speak of Batz and Fürstner; one thing he knows, and I as well, though R. not yet—that Prince Bismarck has struck out the 30,000 florins which the Emperor would gladly have lent from the imperial fund!!! In the evening the “two big ones” arrive from the convent—Blandine warm and affectionate, Daniella positively alarming in her manner.
